If I sign, but keep the copyright? I do not know how the fact that I am not my real name. Can I still use the piece as an example from my book / portfolio, including whether to change my name?

What they do to them is the permission to use what is, in whatever form they deem appropriate ... are well paid for it.
No sense that you can use the work itself, what about the fact that he still owns the copyright law.
In short, is a form of release in the standard user license can ... but not transferred the copyright owner.
